Creative Block

It has been awhile since I have posted anything, life has been a bit busy. I have had a bit of a creative block these days but it came back for awhile the other day while making Fathers Day Cards. I will be posting my pics and ideas for my altered book here soon. This is still a work in process as well, at times I can open it and an idea comes to mind, other times it is a page staring back at me with no thought going through my head. I have been reading alot of magazines about different altered techniques. So hopefully something will start flowing again. I really like ARTchix studio art and have been making some ATC cards with their art work, which is alot of fun as well.

Well I have the morning off I am off to clean art room (which is another reason for the block). Have a great day.

The love of color!!!

I have been playing around with alot of different colors when making cards and I really like the black and green together. I too have an addiction to flowers at this time, I love them and they add so much to a card or a SB layout, so you will see alot of my cards with flowers. This weekend we went to Barnes and Noble and I found some really nice books regarding altered books. I really want to try this; it is another avenue for all things color and I love to collect sayings and quotes this is a good way to store them all. I too have been studying ATC and want to put my hand on that as well.

As I sit here I am trying to figure out when I will get the time to do this all.....I guess that's what late nights are for.
On the card you see here I used my cricut machine (which I just got and LOVE LOVE LOVE). I used stickles as well and love those, could buy all the colors but will have to wait on those for now.

Well there are only 6days till the big wedding day, today I finished the favors and some of the place setting cards, I am almost done.

New Project...

Well I have been researching on Youtube some ideas and came acoss this one, you take the sleeves that go over your coffee (i.e Starbucks, Port City Java etc) and make them into a little altered scrapbook.

I take the sleeve cut it in the back down the seam and adheare some colored paper and embellishments then bind it with my bind it all. It is very simple and make great gifts.

This one is of me and DH on my was alot of fun. I think I might do one for our sweet boxer Bud.

I have been hit by the Blog Bug. . . Resistance was futile! I will try blogging for a month or so; if I keep up with it better than I have with my other attempts in the past with blogging, I may just keep going. I will ramble about stamping or other hobbies for the most part. But I am quite sure that my adventures in being a new stepmom (in one week) and a new grandma (on Feb 17th) will crop up occasionally as well. I have one week until I get married and it is all coming together in an amazing way. I can't wait to walk down the stairs to meet my husband.

I have been waiting a very long time for this and the day is fast approaching. I have all my appointments set up for hair, nails and make-up. The dress is hanging in the guest the attempts of keeping the dog from wanting to pull it down and use it as a blanket I can't wait.

I have been a scrapbooker for a few years but took some time off due to life changes. But have started again with cardmaking and other paper making crafts. I will start to post them here for my friends and family to see...(everyone lives in different areas). I hope in some attempt maybe someone will be inspired by something to use in their cards or layouts.

I am always looking for inspiration so you will find many sites on my side bars that help me when I get a crafters block, which happens more times then not.

If anyone ever has a suggestion please post them. I am still learning alot about scrapbooking, cardmaking and this wide world of blogging.

Have a happy day...
